RICHMAN LAW & POLICY PRIDES ITSELF on combining law and policy work by contributing to social justice issues present in our community. RLP has partnered with numerous non-profits to further the goal of Tikun Olam (repairing the world). RLP has also litigated many cases on behalf of consumer watchdog groups and has donated to charities such as Chilis on Wheels, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, to fund an Earth Day activity in NYC.

In their individual capacities, Richman Law & Policy's team members are active participants in a range of advocacy initiatives ranging from animal welfare to civil rights.

Fighting Factory Farming

Richman Law & Policy and its NGO partners created the Fighting Factory Farming mini-film to show independent family farms and farming communities that they are not alone in the struggle against CAFOs.

Black Lives Matter

Richman Law & Policy is dedicated to representing protesters as a member of the National Lawyer's Guild (NLG). Firm Members actively participate as NLG Legal Observers in an effort to preserve Civil Rights.

Intro 1524-2019

Members of Richman Law & Policy (RLP) have remained dedicated to the fight against pesticide use in City parks. Pesticides affect all New Yorkers and everyone should be made aware of the negative consequences of pesticide use.

National Association of Consumer Advocates - NY Chapter

Richman Law & Policy’s founding partner, Kim Richman, serves as the New York chair of NACA and RLP’s managing attorney, Clark Binkley, serves as the Outreach Liaison. NACA’s mission is to promote consumer justice and curb unfair and abusive business practices.

2020 Food Systems Summit

Richman Law & Policy hosted the 2020 Food Systems Summit on the heels of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. This Summit took place over the course of 6 weeks and was hosted online. Content can be accessed here.

Independent Judicial Screening Panel Administration

Richman Law & Policy's members are actively involved in the democratic process. Firm partner, Kim Richman, acted as the panel administrator for the Independent Judicial Screening Panel for the 6th District Civil Court in Manhattan.

Consumer and Small Business Protection Act

Although New York is a leader in certain other areas of consumer protection, it lags far behind at least 39 other states when it comes to protecting consumers from unfair and deceptive business practices.
